    Tournament History
    AVALANCHE MINOR SPORTS tournament started 10 years ago with 40 teams, today the tournament hosts 80 - 100 teams from Canada and the USA. 

    We offer a wide variety of teams entering the tournament  in the “A” & “AA” division.
     
    Events
    This years divisions start at Minor Atom “A" to Midget “A”.
    We also offer a  Minor Bantam “AA’ division in the tournamnet.
    We try to include e    ach division to consist anywhere from  5  to 10 teams per division if possible.

    Sportsmanship
    We insist that teams play with good sportsmanship in mind as their first priority throughout the tournament weekend. Players who deviate from our goal will face game suspensions or ejection from the tournament weekend.

    Arena Locations
    March Meltdown 2010 games will be played at  Etobicoke Canlan Ice Sports Arena. The arena is listed in the arena maps web site listed below.  All hotels for the tournament are located close to the arena, both east end and west end of the city.  Tournament starts March 26- 28th. Over floww games played at THE PAVILION ARENA
    ( 407 & Dufferin St. )

    Tournament Features - book early before January 30th -  and get
    $50 off registration fee !!!!    - spots will be limited.

    Championship awards for all players and coaching staff
    One Championship team trophy
    One Finalist team trophy
    Finalist awards for all players and coaching staff
    MVP     awards in all playoff games ( not T-shirts )
    MVP T-SHIRT for players at all regular games played only
    Top 4 teams advance and are guaranteed 5 games in all divisions
    Tournament offers a 4 games Guaranteed to all teams entered , regular games
    Possible 6 games maximum can be played .. going into playoff game

    All playoffs games are Played Sunday March 28th

    No gate fees for players and coaching staff
    No gate fees for seniors
    No gate fees for children under 16 years old

    PLEASE NOTE THERE WILL BE A GATE FEE of  $8 per day
    or $18 for the 3 day     WEEKEND PASS.  

     
    All Playoffs start Sunday March 28  8:00 AM.
    The last game of the day played about     5:00pm
     

    *Also note all teams MUST use the hotels provided from the tournament list.

    without further play and without a     full or partial refund ***

    Tournament Cost
    $875 ** in CDN funds*)  for all CDN TEAMS entering

    $850(** in USA funds*)  for all USA TEAMS entering
    *includes The  $50 International fees for USA teams per C.H.A. rules*
